Process 1. First, before
you can start your research, you and your partner must decide how you
are going to divide up the work for this project. How will you get it
done in time to present it to the Prime Minister? Check out this site
on how to effectively work
in groups. 2. Next, before you can solve the mystery of stonehenge, you will need to do extensive research on its history. You should research other ideas or opinions that other archaeologists and researchers have had about the formation of stonehenge. There are many different theories, dealing with everything from aliens to innovative technologies to acts of God. You will need to read about all these theories, and then find out for yourself which one you agree with. Or, after researching previous theories, you could decide that none of these are correct and form your own theory about stonehenge's formation. Here are some websites to help you in your
research: 3. After you decide the basics about how you think stonehenge was formed, you will need to reinforce your decision with evidence and further research. The Prime Minister wants details: Exactly how were the rocks were put into place? Why are they set up in the shape that they are? What was Stonehenge used for? What kind of people were around stonehenge? Or were there even people around Stonehenge? Here are some websites to help you find evidence
for your hypothesis: 4. You should organize all your information and research so that you can present it clearly. You want to convince the Prime Minister that you are sure in your hypothesis so that it is accepted as fact. Make the world believe that you really know how Stonehenge was formed!
