 Evaluation

Your 10-12 minute Power Point presentation should contain:

-General info about Stonehenge (its use, what people were there, etc.)

-Other researcher's hypotheses about how stonehenge was formed.

-How you think stonehenge was formed.

-Evidence to back up your hypothesis. 

Your presentation will be graded based on the following rubric:

 

Component Value Insufficient Satisfactory Outstanding
Presentation 20 The presentation was confusing and unable to get the point across (0-5) The message was delivered but with some problems in clarity or enthusiasm. (6-14 The message was delivered in a clear and enthusiastic manner, and the presentation was engaging. (15-20)
Power Point Skills 20 The presentation does not show a grasp of power point tools. The presentation is not artisticly pleasing. (0-5) The presentation showed mediocre power point skills and an ablility to tie in colors, fonts, etc. (6-14) The presentation had a good use of artistic elements and it took full advantage of the power point tools. (15-20)
Evidence proving your hypothesis 20 There is little or no evidence to back up your hypothesis. (0-5).  There is sufficient evidence to back up your hypothesis, but not totally convincing. (6-14) Plenty of convincing evidence is present to back up your hypothesis. (15-20)
Background research 20 Background information and information about previous research is not clear or not present. (0-5) Background information and research are present but do not necessarily contribute to the presentation. (6-14). Background information and research do a good job of clarifying and adding to your hypothesis. (15-20)
Quality of hypothesis 20 Your hypothesis is not developed or well thought-out. (0-5)  Your hypothesis is clear but does not necessarily coincide with your background information or other evidence. (6-14) Your hypothesis is well thought-out, well developed, clear, and encompasses all the background information. (15-20)
Total: 100      
**Bonus points will be given to the team of archaeologists whose hypothesis is most convincing to the Prime Minister.
